• found a couple of great rental homes in close proximity to serve as wedding party housing and a reception site for a group of 44, 
• contracted Coastal Provisions Market to create a "buffet of comfort foods, but done with a bit of elegance."
• selected photographers with "very unique poses and ideas ... [who] were fun, upbeat and made our day even more special,"
• chose a great wedding planner to work with; in the bride's words a wedding planner is "... a must have for any couple who does not live in the Outer Banks."  
  

The bride went on to say that their wedding planner "... took care of every detail, kept us updated on all of the planning and was awesome to work with."  Working with a coordinator or planner is definitely a recurring recommendation we hear from OBX brides.  If you're looking for one to work with on your upcoming event, the Outer Banks Wedding Association vendor list for Coordinators & Planners is a good place to start.
