2012 Outer Banks Wedding Expo

On Sunday, I was fortunate enough to be able to represent Village Realty at the Outer Banks Wedding Expo. I had the opportunity to speak to lots of brides and their “intendeds” as well as friends and family of the bride.

The Expo was an incredible presentation of the various vendors that are available here on the Outer Banks to assist in planning a fabulous destination wedding. There were wedding planners who will do all the foot work in getting the event off the ground. There were caterers with samples of their food. There were photographers displaying their work, and florists showing their arrangements.
There were spas showcasing their offerings (I even got a complimentary Chair Massage!!). Also, musicians, DJ’s , hairstylists, wedding gown shops, and officiants were there. And of course rentals companies such as Village Realty were there offering vacation homes for rehearsal dinners, weddings and ceremonies, as well as accommodations for family and friends.

The Village Realty booth was in the High School gymnasium along with probably 70 other vendors. Halfway through the day I realized that there were about 50 more vendors in the cafeteria. Then, a shuttle took the brides to the Middle School where there were even more vendors. It really made me want to get married again and have a destination wedding in the Outer Banks!!

Surprise Wedding

The entire family and bestest of friends were finally all gathered together in a Nags Head Oceanfront house for a week long vacation! One couple insisted everyone come down to the beach on a particularly lovely, sunshiny day,. So they gathered the kids, the sunscreen, coolers, boogie boards, chairs, umbrellas, towels and books to set up for an afternoon of toes in the sand. Out of the blue, came a man with a small round table, which he placed in the sand along with a small bouquet of flowers and a beautiful satin ribbon tied around the white table cloth...he said he was there to do a magic trick and for the family to gather around. Curious, they did. The man then announced he would require two volunteers and chose the couple out of the crowd. They stepped up to the table, held hands, looked into each others eyes....and the man performed a surprise wedding ceremony, right there in the sand, in front of God and everyone! The group erupted with gasps, tears of joy and shouts of happiness as the officiant pronounced the couple husband and wife.

Her favorite movie was "My Best Friend's Wedding", especially the scene where the entire wedding party erupts into song, "I'll Say A Little Prayer for You" during the rehearsal dinner. He knew this and wanted to surprise her, so he contacted some friends, who knew some friends who were involved in theater/dance here on the Outer Banks and arranged for all of them to gather on the beach inconspicuously, in bathing suits and summer picnic attire, in and around where the morning beach ceremony was to take place. As their small wedding party gathered to witness their union, the officiant asked the groom to read his handwritten vows...he began singing (a little off-key and loudly) "The moment I wake up..." when one of the volunteers on the beach jumped up and continued..."before I put on my make-up"...and the WHOLE troupe joined in "I say a little prayer for you!" Singing and dancing around the couple, while the bride clapped her hands, laughed and through tears of joy said, "Oh yes, I surely do!"

Maybe you are less conventional or more environmental and want to say get married on jet skis or in Nags Head Woods! Let’s talk about the who, when, where, what and how of planning your barrier island wedding.

“Who” is where you start. Of course, you know whom you are marrying but there are many other people involved when making wedding plans!

The first three on your list should be easy enough but what if your hometown pastor can’t make it? Don’t panic. This sounds heavenly but when you think about everything else that needs to be done, does the word “nightmare” come to mind? Relax! You’ll be happy to know that the wedding professionals here on the Outer Banks are experienced and passionate about assisting couples in creating unique, beautiful and meaningful weddings!

“When” always seems to be the easiest step in the plan. Keep in mind that the Outer Banks is one of the top three places for destination weddings. Plan early! Select the season and your first choice date and have several back up dates ready before you call your wedding planner. Consider that each season on the Outer Banks offers unique beauty as well as unique challenges. Your local professionals know our seasons and will give you good direction! Here is a quick commentary on the four seasons of the Outer Banks.

Beautiful clear days with Carolina blue skies and calm winds and water are enjoyed during an Outer Banks spring. You can also experience cooler, windy weather with rough ocean and sound waters. Spring rates are lower than in-season and most all restaurants, attractions and shops are open by mid-March or April.
Soft, mild breezes and warm days, muggy and buggy days, and hot, sunny days are all part of a summer Outer Banks style. Summer brings an occasional thunderstorm and ocean water that can be cool until July. Hundreds of thousands of vacationers are here each day so plan for heavy traffic and busy restaurants. In-season rates are in effect and reservations are often made 2 years in advance. All restaurants, attractions and shops are open and busy during the summer season!
Fall is a slower time of the year here on the banks. You’ll enjoy warm days and pleasant nights but sometimes a roaring nor’easter brings in a brisk wind, rain and tumultuous waves in both the ocean and sounds. Rental rates are lower than in –season with restaurants, attractions and shops open and welcoming with a laid back atmosphere.

The quiet winter here is a mixed bag but many couples still chose an Outer Banks winter day for their wedding. These days can be mild and beautiful or they can be harsh, cold and windy. There are plenty of places for indoor ceremonies and there is always the beach for those who are truly hearty and adventuresome! Winter offers the bonus of off-season rates for accommodations and even though some restaurants, attractions and shops take January winter breaks, you’ll find plenty of fine dining and more than enough to do!

“Where” on the Outer Banks 100 miles of sand will you say, “I do”? Every step of the way has beaches, bed and breakfast homes, clubs, estate homes, hotels, gardens, attractions, maritime forests, halls and churches beckoning to you. From Ocracoke to Corolla, there are wonderful opportunities for both indoor and outdoor weddings that range from simple to spectacular. “Where” also requires that you think about the size space you will need, parking, accommodations and the honeymoon location. Explore the many possibilities listed here.

The idea of a beach wedding is exciting! Consider if there is adequate parking. Will you need a permit? What about the “who’s”? Walking in sand, sitting in the sun and bracing the wind might not be everyone’s cup of tea and might be impossible for your Grannie Annie. Also understand that seagulls don’t change their habits for weddings and the ocean can be very loud! And will you provide a back up site if it rains or the wind is blowing 30 mph?
A traditional church wedding is the natural choice of many couples. Check the yellow pages and you will find there are almost 90 churches in the area. Ask if you’ll need premarital counseling, church membership or affiliation or if the church has is an open door policy. Many churches do not allow photographs during the ceremony so this is another question you need to ask, as well as what other restrictions may apply.
For small, intimate weddings and receptions look into a bed and breakfast. From quirky to quaint, simple to elegant, in the woods or by the sea, these can be wonderful wedding locations! There are a few that can accommodate larger weddings as well as receptions.
Do you need a large place that can be for both the wedding and the reception? Think about celebrating your vows at a private wedding hall, hotel, clubhouse, country club or restaurant. These venues can accommodate the most casual to the most formal weddings and most have in-house catering and staff for the reception.
Many couples love a theme wedding/reception or just an offbeat location for the ceremony. Discover the many Outer Banks historical sites, parks, museums, aquariums, piers and gardens where you can tie the knot!
Possibly one of the best places here for weddings are the estate homes. These homes range in size and amenities. They are completely furnished, stylishly appointed and often designed especially for weddings. Married couple's first kiss

It is a Western wedding custom for a newly married couple to exchange a kiss at the conclusion of their wedding ceremony. Some Christians hold the belief that the kiss symbolizes the exchange of souls between the bride and the groom, fulfilling the scripture that “the two shall become one flesh.” However, some trace the tradition to an ancient Roman tradition, whereby the exchange of a kiss signified the completion of a contract.

Although the kiss is not a formal requirement of the ceremony, most regard the gesture as a joyful start of the marriage. The most traditional way guests entice the new couple to kiss is by clinking their glasses. An ancient Christian tradition explains that the clinking sound scares the devil away and the couple kisses in his absence. Another tradition is to ring bells placed at the tables by the wedding party. A ring of the bell signals the bride and groom to kiss. After the initial kiss as husband and wife, wedding guests can't seem to get enough of this traditional display of affection. Ways to encourage the newlyweds to kiss during the reception include:

1. Tapping silverware on stemware: Lightly tap a spoon or fork (knives tend to break the glasses too easily) on a water glass for a tinkling sound. Any guest may start this at any time during the reception and the bride and groom kiss each time.

2. Clinking of Glasses: Glasses clinked together in harmony in mock toasts is another way to encourage matrimonial kissing during the reception dinner.

3. Code Word: Usually a written word placed on the guest tables (with simple instructions) where the entire table must get up and sing a song with the word "love" or "kiss" or "forever", etc. in it.

4. Kissing Bells: Small tinkle bells placed on each guest table to be rung throughout the dinner/reception whenever the guests wish to see another kiss by the happy couple

5. Wedding Kiss Shakers: Can be made or bought specifically for the reception like these cute ideas from "Project Wedding" .

6. Marriage Advice: An already married person may stand up and offer one piece of marital advice to the couple in exchange for a kiss.

7. Copycat Kissing: The bride and groom must copy the kiss by another two people, who kiss first at their table.

8. Balloons: Helium balloons tied loosely to the backs of chairs can be released one at a time, inspiring a kiss.

Upcoming Outer Banks Wedding 2011

Patrick asked Colleen to be his bride this past May and they are GETTING MARRIED nearly ten years to the day after they first met (September 13, 2011) right here in Nags Head. Colleen and Patrick vacationed on the Outer Banks last August and loved our little piece of heaven so much, they knew they would someday want to have their wedding here. Over sixty family members and friends from their homeland of Ohio and various locations will be joining them for their special day.

First, they had to find the ideal oceanfront location to accommodate all of their guests, and fun reception they intend to have all in one spot. After going online and searching various rental homes, Village Realty offered the perfect solution with their 8 bedroom “Beach Boys” house in Nags Head, that easily sleeps 20+ guests. The rental cottage comes complete with pool, hot tub, six and half baths , theatre room, game room, fireplace and double kitchen…and it’s right across the dune to the ocean, where their wedding ceremony will be held on the beach, officiated by a close family friend.

Colleen was delighted when she and her fiancé arrived for the Outer Banks Wedding Association’s annual Wedding EXPO last week and were able to actually get the keys and take a walking tour of the house imagining their dreams coming true next September. “I can’t say enough about how kind and awesome the people we met from Village Realty were to us!”

At the EXPO, Colleen and Patrick confirmed their decisions by meeting in person with their photographer, Alexandra Couey from ALC Photography and John from Metro Rental, who wisely suggested using custom benches instead of chairs for their sandy-bottom ceremony. “Having our wedding on the Outer Banks as opposed to a more commercialized beach destination was our goal. The Outer Banks Wedding Association Wedding EXPO weekend was quite exciting for new brides planning their nuptials here at the beach. I attended the exposition on Sunday afternoon. Blushing brides with their attendants were everywhere, gathering information about location, flowers, catering, bartending services, officiants, hair and nails, tent and tuxedo rentals, photographers...and there were so many to choose from. If a bride approached the event with a list, she could certainly walk away with some fabulous choices in vendors.

Some of my personal favorite TOP TEN vendors that caught my eye, simply be being super friendly as I passed by, or helpful when I stopped to visit and admire their wares were:

1. Beach Ball Events (Dave Gergen) offering complete wedding packages including ceremony locations at Mallard's Marsh and Adrianna's as well as Pirate's Cove.

2. Holiday House Weddings offered the most spectacular floral arrangements and breathtaking bouquet offerings (in my opinion).

3. Bells & Whistles displayed gorgeous whimsical floral arrangements and displays that were photographic masterpieces.

4. Icing on the Cakes was my favorite wedding cake choice with the most gorgeous, delicacies in "cupcake" fashion. They won the coveted "Brides Choice Awards" in 2010. Well deserved.

5. Outer Banks Productions (Doug & Michelle Haber) Definitely the best wedding photo display at the EXPO. Wedding pictures last a lifetime and are displayed for decades after the ceremony. These portraits and videos were unique and gorgeous.

6. Courtney Hathaway Photography also caught my eye because I heard Courtney telling one bride enthusiastically how one portrait can "change your life". She obviously loves her profession and one can tell by the photographs, she captures perfect moments perfectly.

7. OBX Bar-4-Hire (Jay & Lisa Ammons) a spectacular idea for hiring professional bartenders to provide a full service to your home or outdoor wedding, reception, anniversary and party locations.

8. Ortega'z Catering (Lisa Ortega) Wedding banquets, luncheons, receptions, dinners with food that will be talked about long after the affair. Their staff of professional servers (my favorite is Holly) are super friendly and courteous to each and every guest.

9. The Outer Banks Officiant (Rev. Rande Banks) offers non-denominational, traditional and contemporary ceremony services from Corova Beach to Ocracoke Island and everywhere in between. Also, an Elopement Package ceremony with a breathtaking sound/sunset location that is ideal for any budget.

Hatteras Island and Ocracoke Island are unique islands situated on the outer banks of North Carolina, USA. Hatteras Island is home of the Outer Banks’ most captivating open spaces and unadulterated island villages. Ocracoke Island is called “Pearl of the Outer Banks” and was named “Number One Beach in America” in 2007 with its sixteen miles of beach surrounded by the crystal water of the Atlantic.

You can say “I do” on these amazing places of Earth and we found the easiest way to do that. Mary Haggerty is a wedding planner who organizes beach weddings on Hatteras and Ocracoke Islands. Mary has been a photographer for over twenty years. She is originally from New York and has worked as a wedding, portrait and fine art photographer. She has also been a photojournalist for many years. Mary organizes unusual weddings like beach weddings, Lighthouse weddings, sunset weddings, and pirate weddings.

How did you start this business?

I moved to Ocracoke Island five years ago and opened a photography shop, Ocracoke Photo. I photograph family portraits and weddings. Being a wedding photographer, I started spending a lot of time helping my couples plan their weddings. I understood how hard it was for them to find all the wedding services they needed long distance. That’s why I started offering wedding packages along with my wedding photography.

I see you make really exotic weddings. What kind of packages do you offer?

All my wedding packages include everything you would need for a small beach wedding. We start with a theme like “Sunset and Seashells” or “Lighthouse wedding”, then my couples can customize the package. They can choose the type of flowers they like, the flavor and decorations for their cake. I also coordinate getting the necessary permits to get married at the beach or the lighthouse. I try to make it easy to plan their wedding. If couples want to have a bigger wedding, we just add upgrades to the package, like a larger cake, etc. I can also help plan a reception.

Is it easy to get married on the beach on Ocracoke Island or Hatteras Island?

It’s easy to get married on the beach. There is no waiting period once you have obtained your marriage license in North Carolina. Our beach is a US National Park, so you will need a permit, which costs $100. That’s included in my packages.

How big are the weddings you usually organize?

I have done weddings with just the Bride and the Groom and I’ve done weddings with 100 guests. I would say most weddings on the Island have 12-30 guests.

Is there something specific couples should know before they decide to get married on Ocracoke Island or Hatteras Island? Is it dangerous? When is the best time of the year to get married there?

I think the best time to get married on Hatteras or Ocracoke Island is the spring and fall. Summer is great too. Winter is good also, because you can get off season rates on lodging. From May to October the weather is perfect for a beach wedding.

It’s not dangerous. We haven’t had pirates on our Island since Blackbeard in the 1700s.

One thing you should know is that Ocracoke Island is accessible only by ferry or small plane. There is a free 30 min ferry from Hatteras Island. Ocracoke Island was named the “Number One Beach in America” in 2007.

What are the required documents?

A marriage license with no waiting period can be obtained at any registrar of deeds office in North Carolina. The couple will need two witnesses to sign the document. A National Park Service permit is also necessary.

Which are some of your most remarkable weddings? Tell me one unusual and romantic wedding story.

All weddings are special, you just have to remember everyone gets their own perfect day. I remember a couple who got married on a schooner on a sunset sailing cruise. It was so cloudy and gray all day we didn’t see the sun at all. We were out in the sound as the officiant came to the end of the ceremony and pronounced them man and wife, they kissed. Then dolphins began jumping out of the water everywhere all around the boat as if on cue. So they didn’t have a bright sunny day, but they did have the dolphins at their ceremony and that was spectacular!

How much does it cost to get married on Hatteras and Ocracoke Islands?

My packages are under $2,000 and include a wedding photography package with an album, a wedding cake, a bride’s bouquet and groom’s boutineer, the site fee for the beach, ceremony decorations, two custom etched champagne flutes with the couples name and date engraved on them, and a complimentary bottle of champagne. I take care of all the running around, so when couples get to the island, they can relax.

Why should people choose to get married on Hatteras and Ocracoke Islands?

I think couples come to get married on the Island because they want to be surrounded by the beauty of nature, the sound of the waves, the blue sky overhead, the sand between their toes. These beautiful surroundings make a wedding much more personal, intimate, and unique. One very special thing about Hatteras and Ocracoke Islands is that the sun both rises and sets over the water. It rises over the Atlantic Ocean and sets over the Pamlico sound. Our sunsets are breathtaking!

The Best Day of My Life

I've been dreaming of this day all my life! Today I get to wear a beautiful princess white dress and walk down the aisle with my cousin Robby while my whole family watches!

My name is Lauren, and I'm four years old. I am the Flower Girl in my Aunt's wedding. It's so exciting! Yesterday, we all went to the salon to have our nails done. I chose "Passion Pink" because that's my favorite color. I wanted to get sparkles too, but my Mom said that would be 'too gaudy' for a wedding. This is my practice because someday I will get to be the Bride. My Aunt is all happy and stuff because she is the real Bride and she picked a handsome Groom. Our whole family is staying in a beach house on the Outer Banks of North Carolina that looks like a castle. My Mom calls it a cottage, but I think cottages are more like the ones in Snow White, little houses with little chairs with hearts carved in them, and flower gardens leading to the front door. Our 'cottage' has eight bedrooms and two kitchens and a swimming pool and game room with a big screen television that is like a movie theater. My cousins and I have already gotten in trouble for getting stuck in the elevator but we couldn't resist. Who has an elevator in their castle these days?

Anyway, the wedding is later today and we're all getting our hair done this morning by a 'stylist' who is coming to the cottage. I get to have flowers in my hair, which is good because I've always wanted to have flowers in my hair. Once, my cousin Robby put grass in my hair and yesterday I got seaweed stuck in my hair when I tumbled under the waves at the beach. This will be so much better!

Robby is the Ring Bearer today. He's supposed to carry a pillow with the wedding rings in a little pouch and hold my hand while we walk down the aisle, but he's "irresponsible" so the real rings have to be in my Uncle Dale's pocket. Robby just gets to have the plastic rings from the Dollar Store, but that's okay because I already told him that I want to wear one on my ring finger and he said he could care less. Robby is five. He's older, but he's not smarter than me because he has no idea this is the most wonderful day of our lives.

My dress is white, just like the Brides, exactly. I'm the only one who gets to wear white....everyone else has to wear lime green, which is fine with me. I've never liked lime green. Whenever someone gives me a popsicle that is lime green I say "No Thank You".

My shoes are white patent leather and I have white socks with lace on the top. I wanted to wear panty hose but when I put them on they itched a little bit. My Aunt is not wearing panty hose because she said she wants to be barefoot and feel the sand in her toes when she says her vows on the beach. I would like to feel sand on my toes too so I'm going to take my socks off after the ceremony. I do want to look my best for the pictures.

It's almost time and Robby is in his tuxedo now. He didn't even say anything about how beautiful I look. My Mom says it's because he's a boy. I'm glad I'm not a boy because they are clueless. I have my basket of pink rose petals and I will be the first person to walk down the boardwalk aisle to the beach. There are thousands and thousands of people gathered outside to watch me and my Aunt. Robby already misplaced his ring pillow and his Mom is trying to find it. Boys.

The music is starting. Robby found his pillow and is supposed to hold my hand, but I don't want him to because then I won't be able to drop the petals so I just march ahead of him. Step, pause, step, pause.....step, pause. Everyone is smiling and taking pictures. I smile back and hope they notice I have lip gloss on. Step, pause. Robby races past me and jumps onto the steps leading to the Preacher and does a stupid ninja kick saying "Hi Ya!" Everyone laughs. This used to be the best day of my life.

When I get married, I will not invite any boys.

Always, Always, Always....Bridal Tips for a Perfect Beach Wedding

Always, always, always....

Try on your wedding dress one week prior to the wedding, just in case you might need altering. Do not count on losing those last 10 pounds just before the wedding. If it fits the weekend before, it will fit on your wedding day. Have your favorite seamstress standing by. This goes for bridesmaids as well!
Don't worry too much about shoes. Beach ceremonies require bare feet in the sand...but be sure to have that pedicure. Pretty toes will not be regretted. Everyone will love wearing flip-flops or cute sandals. Traditional satin dyed shoes will be ruined after a beach wedding.
Make sure you have a beautiful, matching wrap to cover your bare shoulders after your wedding party retires to the air conditioned reception area. A pashmina (wide scarf or shawl) in white or one of your bridesmaid colors is perfect.
Skip the ceremonial toast of Bloody Mary's or Mimosa's...anything with color that could stain your wedding dresses. Instead, choose a clear beverage like a Mojito that even accidentally spilled will not show.
Practice saying your vows out loud with your spouse. This will ensure that you both can pronounce all of the words properly and that your voices will project so your gathered loved ones can actually hear the ceremony.
Chances are it will be windy. There is almost always an ocean breeze...so don't fret about getting expensive, extravagant hair styles. Consider simply wearing your long hair up in a white or clear clip with some dried baby's breath flowers (from your bouquet). Simple elegance.
Do not use a spray-on, or lotion tanning cream. It will stain your dress...instead use a shimmer lotion that will make your skin glow.
Keep your rings safe in a trusted pocket. Do not allow them to be carried on a pillow by a young ring bearer across the sand or pier...or your symbols of love will most likely be lost forever before the ceremony begins.

"Never, Never, Never"....Some Beach Wedding Advice from Those Who've Done This Before

Here are some interesting wedding tips from Outer Banks Wedding Officiants, who have seen it all:

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER....

Give the real wedding rings to your ring bearer (use the plastic kind from the Dollar Store to tie onto that fancy pillow)
Walk down a pier with the real wedding rings on a fancy pillow (even while untying them, they can drop before you say "I Do")
Assume the Dare County Registry of Deeds Office will be open the Friday before your weekend wedding, especially if inclement weather is predicted (i.e. hurricanes). Get your license well in advance of the ceremony, just to be on the safe side.
Plan your ceremony directly as the sun sets. (unless you don't care about taking pictures, since most cameras can only capture silhouettes at that time of day.)
Write your own vows to read aloud, unless you know for sure the groom/bride can read. (It happens.)
Get married under a trellis, when there is lightening in the sky. (There aren't too many high spots on the beach and a trellis is dangerously inviting to the electrical currents.)
Require the groom and groomsmen to wear tuxedos to an outdoor, summer wedding. (They will look like beached penguins and they will be sweating like pigs.)
Throw rice, birdseed or anything that might be edible to our plethora of seagulls who will gladly become the most unwelcome guests. (Bubbles are good.)
Insist on a candle lighting ceremony during a seaside wedding. The ever present off shore breeze will snuff even the most hardy of candles. (A symbolic mixed sand ceremony is suggested instead.)

Outer Banks Beach Weddings on 10.10.10

Apparently "remembering the wedding date" is the number one reason thousands of couples have chosen to be married on upcoming October 10th, 2010 (10.10.10).

Each year has a date that is numerically appealing for a wedding; such as July 7, 2007, which was on a Saturday (ideal) and August 8, 2008 was also popular, for a Friday. September 9th, 2009 happened on a Wednesday, though some brides found it difficult to arrange for guests to attend mid-week, but nothing compares to this year's 10.10.10 date, which, according to local Wedding Officiants, is already one of the most popular ceremony dates in recent history.

For one thing, 10.10.10 falls on a Sunday, with a national holiday (Columbus Day) immediately following. For Catholic couples, the fact that this date is on a Sunday is frustrating in that Catholic churches do not perform weddings on Sundays and priests will not perform ceremonies outside of the church, so alternative nuptials such as Beach Weddings or cruises is even more appealing on this date.

One bride shared the binary equivalent of 101010 adds up to 42, which is "The Answer to Life and the Universe". I have no way of confirming this statement, but I surely hope there are binary 'geeks' out there nodding in agreement.

A wedding planner suggested incorporating bamboo into this year's 10.10.10 wedding decorations or guest favors, as 10 bamboo stalks together represent "completeness and perfection".

On any given weekend, the glorious beaches of the Outer Banks are notorious for spectacular Beach Weddings along the seashore. After speaking with the Dare County Magistrate's office I discovered there is no database kept with regard to wedding dates, so the actual number of applications is not available, however the clerk did say there have been more applications for 10.10.10 than she can remember. Another interesting fact is, most of the applicants are arranging their wedding ceremonies to be performed at 10AM.

Imagine, the entire beach from Nags Head to Southern Shores with bubbling brides and beaming grooms taking their vows at the same time. It would make for an interesting aerial photograph should some creative photographer capture the moment from a biplane.

Regardless of the many reasons, we certainly do wish ALL of the upcoming newlyweds decades of happiness and joy, and hopefully the anniversary will always be as unforgettable as the wedding itself.
